INTERIOR DESIGNER & CO-FOUNDER
Rommy Santiago
I’m a Colombian-born interior designer with a passion for creating spaces that tell stories. I believe every room should have heart, character, and a little magic, and that’s exactly what I bring to every project.
I studied Interior Design at the School of Interior Design (Esdiart) in Bogotá, Colombia, where I discovered my love for textures, color, and meaningful details. My style is rooted in upcycled materials, rich layers, and intentional design. I love giving forgotten pieces a second life, transforming them into unique elements that make a space truly one-of-a-kind.
Plants are my go-to decorative companions: they bring harmony and life into every room. As a mom of two amazing girls and wife to an incredible husband who also happens to be my business partner, I bring heart, balance, and a touch of humor to everything I do.
I love helping people create spaces that reflect who they truly are. One of my favorite challenges? Helping couples with different tastes find a design they both adore. Whether I’m designing a bathroom from scratch, layering textures in a living room, or finding the perfect reclaimed piece that makes everything click. I design with intention, love for traditions, music, and a deep appreciation for soulful living.

Luis Santiago
Financial Manager & Co-Founder
I’m Luis, Rommy’s husband and co-founder of My Upcycle Home. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Florida International University, and while my background might seem far from interior design, it’s actually what makes our partnership work so well.
My role is behind the scenes: I bring an analytical mindset and structured financial strategy to every project. While Rommy focuses on the creative transformation, I make sure the numbers add up, the timelines hold, and every client’s investment is optimized. I handle the operational side with precision so that the design process can flow without interruptions.
I believe great design deserves great execution, and that’s what I’m here to ensure: professional results, on time, on budget, without compromising the vision.
